Doodle Days: September

I know it's been a hot minute, but thankfully this blog is jam-packed with bullet journals, school updates, and art! September has been a huge hurdle to jump: getting back into school, working on some personal commissions, and completely renovating my organization habits. One of my favorite things that I've really started to do on a daily basis is work in a big planner, laying out my homework, appointments, etc. This has been putting me on a pretty good track and since that, I've gotten into bullet journaling! My favorite Youtube channel to watch is Jenny Journals, and little more unrelated, I've really been enjoying Katnipp Illustration's Studio Vlogs! This has really been pushing me to work on miniature watercolor illustrations, and hopefully someday turn them into stickers.

I'm really excited to see how my next upcoming Illustration project for school will go, the theme is a New Yorker cover, and it has to be done in mostly watercolor. Because spooky season is upon us, I decided to do a Halloween themed piece, based on children's book illustration. Here's a mood board I threw together to get some inspiration, I grew up on Little Critter books and I really enjoy how the shade and color their pieces!

And finally, here's some of my classwork that has been in the runs. Both have been proving to be quite the challenge and I feel like every week is just a wave of work; but it's been such a learning experience that I can't wait to see what other pieces come out of these classes. I always say every year that I'm going to do Inktober, let's see if I can actually stick to it!
